Facebook have crumbled under public outrage to a recent term of service whereby the site could retain posted items, including photos and messages, even after accounts were deleted. The previous licence will now stand, where posted content may be distributed only until the deletion of a user’s account when it must be removed. The Facebook Bill of Rights and Responsibilities is being currently developed and new service terms should be less formal for users and less protective, according to CEO Mark Zuckerberg.
