Companies Uncertain on DP Information
According to a survey carried out by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC), more than half of public and private sector organisations are still unaware of where personal data is collected and stored. Such failings could leave them wide open to security breaches that may well expose personal data. Further, public sector bodies are failing to carry out due diligence in relation to the practices of third party contractors. FE and HE institutions are reminded of their obligations to ensure that private contractors maintain the same high security standards when they are carrying out work on behalf of the college.
