The Federation Against Software Theft (FAST) has exercised for the first time the powers granted to it under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act (CDPA). The body used the powers recently granted to the Trading Standards Officers under the CDPA to inspect and perform a forensic examination of a software used by a Welsh business.
