In yet another data bungle, a laptop belonging to the UK Security Service MI5 was stolen through the window of the MI5 hideout. The laptop it is said, contained secret intelligence documents pertaining to terrorism with photos of terror suspects, their names and also fingerprints. This news story serves as a word of caution to FE and HE institutions as data theft is a crime not just confined to government agencies but could also affect institutions if a staff or student laptop is stolen.
