Teachers Victims of Cyberbullying

New research carried out by the Association of Teachers and Lecturers and the Teacher Support Network demonstrates that as many as one in ten teachers suffer from bullying via texts, emails and social networking sites. Most of the reported cyberbullying was indeed carried out by pupils, however, over a third reported that the perpetrator was a member of staff or a manager. In order to protect staff and students from behaviour of this kind best practice would suggest that institutions have policies in place that deal specifically with the issue of cyberbullying.
