The Article 29 Data Protection Working Party has issued its opinion on the concepts of the terms 'controller' and 'processor' for the purposes of the EU's Data Protection Directive 95/46/EC. The Opinion is a welcomed move by the data protection industry as the intention is to further clarify and provide guidance on the interpretation of the concepts of 'data controller' and 'data processor.'
