The email system of a leading research unit based at the University of East Anglia has been hacked. Emails from the Climate Reseach Unit were published without permission last week. An investigation is currently underway. FE and HE institutions, as service providers, are cautiously reminded of their obligation to ensure that adequate security measures are in place to properly safeguard their systems against the threat of hackers.
