The FE and HE sectors are increasingly required to deal with incidents of computer misuse and their subsequent investigation. This document authored by HEIDS members (www.heids.ac.uk) and compiled in partnership with JISC Legal describes an investigation process, the legal issues to be considered and provides guidance in formulation of an institutions policy in dealing with such incidents.
