Court Serves Blow to Online Pirates

UK Internet Service Providers (ISPs) including Sky, BT, Virgin Media and Talk Talk must block file-sharing websites Kickass Torrents, H33T and Fenopy, the High Court has ruled.  The case follows a similar order against Pirate Bay in 2012.  ISPs are likely to comply given those concerned did not oppose the case, brought by music industry group BPI and bodies representing the gaming, film and book publishing industries, against the sites which provide website links to copyright material such as TV shows, movies, music and games.  It is likely that colleges and universities would be required to comply with such an order if requested to do so.  The story is available on the BBC website.
