Products with IP Protection attract Higher Investment

Two new reports commissioned by the Intellectual Property Office (IPO) emphasise that increasing amounts of money are being invested in products and services that have IP protection.  Furthermore, knowledge investment in rights protected by copyright, designs and patents has more than doubled since 1990.  This highlights the importance for colleges and universities involved in research (as well as innovative new business ideas for the future) to realise the full value of their work.  More details are available from the IPO website.  JISC Legal provides guidance on Copyright and IPR.
