IP Protection Boosts Foreign Turnover

A recent report by UK Trade and Investment emphasises the significance of intellectual property protection to an increase in foreign trade. Minister for Intellectual Property, Baroness Wilcox, stated that, ‘designs, patents, trademark and copyright add great value to businesses in the UK and overseas...by giving companies the opportunities to protect their innovative and creative ideas, they will be able to grow in the UK and abroad.’
The report will be of particular interest to institutions involved in spin-out companies, and also those that have a keen interest in Research and Innovation.  Please access the report for further information.  JISC Legal provides guidance on External Engagement.
