JISC recently funded six records management related projects which used the JISC infoNet Impact Calculator in projects including email management improvements and implementation of a retention schedule. The outcomes from the pilots are varying and interesting for university and college management and show the cost and savings as well as return on investment which improvements in practice may bring. In addition good records management practice will assist legal compliance in all areas including data protection and freedom of information.
