The British Library has made available three million records from the British National Bibliography under a Creative Commons CC0 public domain licence. The BNB has been keeping records of publishing activity in the UK and Ireland since 1950, and the newly-released information has been issued under a CC0 waiver making it freely available for reuse and adaptation. As well as demonstrating the power of Creative Commons licences, these may also provide a useful resource for the academic world.
