Are there any guidelines regarding placement of the Creative Commons licence statement and logo within Flash movies, video clips, and audio clips?

The Creative Commons licence and logo could be embedded on the website and/or within the work.  The practice normally seen is to provide the licence and the logo on the website of the resource with a link to the Creative Commons website.  The use of the logo should however conform to the policies of use of the licence available at - http://creativecommons.org/policies.

The FAQ section of the Creative Commons website provides information related to your query.  The relevant FAQ on their webpage at - http://wiki.creativecommons.org/FAQ#I_want_to_incorporate_the_Creative_Commons_logos_into_my_site_or_work.2C_can_I.3F  reads:

“I want to incorporate the Creative Commons logos into my site or work, can I?

You are welcome to incorporate the Creative Commons logos into your site or work if you do so in accordance with our policies page.  Basically, we only authorise use of the Creative Commons corporate logo (that is the name Creative Commons and the “CC” in a circle) to link back to our website; and our “Some Rights Reserved” and “No Rights Reserved” buttons as well as our license element buttons (i.e. the Attribution license button, the NonCommercial license button etc.) to be used to link back to our respective licenses.”

The webpage also provides guidance on how to properly attribute a work licensed under the Creative Commons license – please have a look at this FAQ available at http://wiki.creativecommons.org/FAQ#How_do_I_properly_attribute_a_Creative_Commons_licensed_work.3F

Some examples of how other websites that license audio and video works under Creative Commons licence do it can be obtained here at -

1) The Newcastle University website at http://www.ncl.ac.uk/nnp/teaching/video/index2.html

and

2) The Internet Archive website at http://www.archive.org/details/stock_footage

An additional resource which should be helpful for you when considering releasing audio and film clips under Creative Commons licence is the Film Street website at http://www.filmstreet.co.uk/pages/textworkshop2.php.
