This statutory guidance published by the Equality and Human Rights Commission, consists of three Codes on equal pay, employment, and services, public functions and associations. The Equality Act Codes of Practice refer to case law and precedent to clarify the implications of each clause and they 'set out clearly and precisely what the legislation means.' They will remain as 'draft' while they are considered by Parliament and before they are brought into force by a Government Order. The Codes will be the 'authoritative source' of advice in courts and tribunals.
