This page is the gateway to the pre-workshop tool offered by JISC Legal and JISC Digital Media prior to the JISC Advance Digital Media and Copyright Workshops.
This tool is provided to allow you to get acquainted with the essentials of copyright prior to the workshops, which you will get the most out of if you know something about copyright beforehand. Although we'll be happy to answer any questions on the day, the workshop is designed to explore the practical aspects of dealing with the various rights in relation to digital media rather than the fundamentals of copyright.
If you know you already understand the difference between assignment and licensing, know the limits of fair dealing, and can determine who owns copyright created as part of employment, you don't need this tool, and can skip straight to looking forward to the workshop itself.
