Jackie Milne

JISC Legal - Legal Information Specialist

Jackie joined the JISC legal team in early 2009 as a Legal Information Specialist.  Having qualified in law at the University of Strathclyde she began a career in teaching, firstly in law and then teaching English across Europe and South America.  

She then spent nine years in education generally, managing various roles within schools in central Scotland.  She has continually pursued an interest in ICT which led to a position as ICT co-ordinator for a local authority where she successfully implemented the Glow project for schools.  

Jackie has now returned to law with a focus on education and ICT.  She is looking forward to working more closely with further and higher education establishments in sharing high quality legal information relating to the use of innovative technologies.

Current areas of interest: open educational resources, e-safety, records management, business and community engagement.
