JISC Legal - Legal Information Specialist
Deborah joined the JISC legal team in April 2011 as a Legal Information Specialist. Having qualified in law at the University of Glasgow she pursued a career in commercial contracts firstly within the IT/telecommunications industry and then as Legal Adviser for the UK operations of a contract testing and manufacturing company within the biopharmaceutical sector.
Deborah is applying her expertise in intellectual property law, contracts and licensing to the challenges faced by further and higher education establishments in the use of innovative technologies. She is also currently studying for an LLM in Internet Law and Policy at Strathclyde University.
Current areas of interest: copyright, licensing and cloud computing.
